The National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is instigating moves to resolve the strike action by the Ashanti Regional Communicators in Kumasi.
Over 40 party communicators for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)are quite embittered about certain issues in the party., hence have embarked on a sit-down strike to drive home their demands.
According to the aggrieved communicators, their toil in helping the party to win the 2016 and 2020 general elections have not been pleased by the government and the party’s leadership.
In that regard, the National Communication Director of the party, Lawyer Yaw Buabeng Asamoah has confirmed to Ashh Fm’s National Agenda that, he is arranging to meet the aggrieved TV and Radio communicators and see how best he can resolve the issue amicably.
According to Lawyer Buabeng Asamoah, the Communicators are key to the NPP and so his outfit will not sit aloof for this to happen in the home region of the party.
“I have heard about this strike and I will move to Kumasi when the President returns from his official trips’’.
“The communicators are very important to the NPP and so their grievances will receive adequate attention”, the former legislator told show host, Oderfour Qwasi Kay
According to him, the party needs total peace to enable the government to deliver successfully and break the eight governance systems.
