A/R:Eid-ul Fitr- MTN donates to Regional Chief Imam

MTN Ghana, the leading telecommunications company in Ghana, has donated some assorted items to the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul Mumin Harun , ahead of the celebration of this year’s Eid ul-Fitr 13th May ,2021.

Similar presentations we’re done at the National Chief Imam’s office and regional Imams in the Western and Northern Regions respectively.
The donation which has become an annual ritual was to support the Muslim community as they observe the 30days Ramadan fasting.

MR. Nii Allotey Mingle

Presenting the items to the Regional Chief Imam at Akwatia line , the General Manager for Northern Sector , Mr. Nii Allotey Mingle said the donation was an annual gesture to support Muslims during the Ramadan period.

He said MTN believed in creating a strong relationship with all stakeholders and contributing to the growth of diverse religious groups in the country.

Today, we are here to donate the following items:10 Bags of Rice, 10 Cartons of Vegetable Oil, 10 Packs of Mineral Water, 13 Packs of soft drinks, a fat Ram, and undisclosed Airtime .

Mr. Mingle uses the opportunity to inform the Public that, MTN Ghana will mark the 25th Anniversary of its operations this year.

“As part of the celebrations, MTN Ghana has set aside the equivalent of US$25 million to support the country with a legacy project and other Community intervention projects,” he disclosed

Ustarz Ahmad Executive Secretary office of Chief Imam

Ustarz Ahmad speaking on behalf of the Regional Chief Imam applauded MTN for its continuous support even in the face of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic which is adversely affecting many business entities across the world.

He also prayed for God’s blessing and guidance for the management and staff of MTN.
