Berekum Chelsea have no intent to sell their prized asset Zakaria Fuseini to any local clubs as they have set their sights on lucrative foreign offers.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Berekum Chelsea, Isaac Amponsah says that no club in the Ghana Premier can afford their center back Zakaria Fuseini.
The young defender formed a solid center back partnership with Ahmed Adams boasting of the meanest defence in the truncated 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League.
He has been linked with moves to moneybags Legon Cities FC and Accra Hearts of Oak but the club says the youngster is going nowhere.
“No club in Ghana can afford Zakaria’s transfer fee.” He told Ashh FM.
The bulky center back has been an ever present in the Berekum Chelsea team since joining the club in 2016 and came to prominence a lot last season with his solid displays.
Fuseini himself is said to prefer a move abroad than playing for another club in the local league with reports of clubs in the MLS circling.
He was part of the Ghana U-23 team that played in the CAF U-23 tournament in Egypt.
