Kyei Mensah Bonsu donates Motorbikes to Suame Police

As part of efforts to nip all incidences of crime and threat in the Suame Constituency in the bud, The Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame Constituency who doubles as the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has donated three motorbikes to the Suame Municipal Police Command.

Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah said it was his personal contribution to the effective and efficient running of the station towards providing the much-needed security for the communities in the area.

This gesture, according to the Majority in Parliament, is to enable effective policing and help curb crime in the constituency.

‘This will also aid in increasing the visibility of security and enhanced security patrols in Suame Constituency, if the police are in a high visibility it will help curb the menace’. He stated

The MP underscored the importance of the police service to citizens.

“The police play a significant role in ensuring that we go about our duties safely without looking over our shoulders. Therefore, we all need to support them in various ways for effective policing duties.”

The presentation was made on Friday after a brief ceremony at the police station in Suame.

The MP was accompanied by the Presiding Member of Suame Municipal Hon Maxwell Ofosu Boakye, NADMO Coordinator Mustapha Owusu, Constituency Chairman Sir Bright and some NPP members.

On his part, DSP Emmanuel Asiamah Suame Municipal Commander, who received the motorbike on behalf of the IGP, thanked the MP for the donation and is hopeful other individuals and corporate bodies would emulate the gesture.

He also used the opportunity to advise the youth to desist from engaging in electoral conflicts and have faith in the police to handle issues professionally.

He also appealed to the Suame Member of Parliament to support them with a pick up to ease their patrols.
