In the round up to the December general election , the Farmers and Traders Union constituents of the Asante Akim North in the Asante Region have _pledged to pay the filling fees for the incumbent Member of Parliament who has been re-elected by the delegates * and who double as the *Deputy Minister for Railways Development.
As mentioned earlier , an amount of Gh¢10,000 (100 million old cedis) is to be paid in exchange for the filling forms ahead of the upcoming Parliamentary elections in December.
On Thursday September 17th, 2020 , a group of constituents consisting mainly of farmers and traders union declare their support for the MP for the Constituency, citing various reasons . Keen among these reasons were ;
That HON. ANDY APPIAH-KUBI has remedied the security challenge in the Asante Akim North Constituency which is the influx of the Nomadic Herdsmen with their cattle’s , and such associated crimes such as Rape, Body Harm, Destruction of Farms, Destruction of Villages and Murder. Now, the farmers are able to go to their farms without any fear or panic.
That HON. ANDY APPIAH-KUBI has put a stop to the long battle between Farmers and Fulani herdsmen in the constituency which has brought various forms of relief to farmers such as peace and all year round farming.
That HON. ANDY APPIAH-KUBI has helped in bridging the gap between the settlor famers and the indigenes with the Afram Plains enclave for which he’s credited with the current peace in the area and for his good effort in conflict resolution.
Again, the Farmers expressed joy over ongoing developmental projects in the railway sector under the leadership of President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo which falls in line with the 4MORE TO DO MORE campaign .
The farmers and traders challenged the NDC in the opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) to mention key developmental projects in the Asante Akim North constituency for which reason their Parliamentary candidate should have another FOUR MORE YEARS to continue with the good works he has started,planting for food and jobs which has impacted them very well.
The Legislator expressed his appreciation to his constituents, urged them to give massive support to President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and pledged to further support the constituency for more development .
