The Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North Constituency Lawyer Andy Kwame Appiah Kubi has refuted the allegations that, he is behind the buzzing of the supposed poster of former Member of Parliament for the area going independent.

A poster buzzing on the internet indicates that, the former legislator Kwadwo Baah Agyemang has intended to go independent at the Asante Akyem North Constituency.

During the New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Primaries, the National Sports Authority (NSA) Board Chairman once again lost the Asante Akim North Constituency Parliamentary Primaries to the incumbent Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi in what was later termed as an illegal election.

But speaking on Ashh Fm’s National Agenda hosted by Oderfour Qwasi Kay on Wednesday 15th September, 2020, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang vehemently rubbished the speculations that he has intended to go as independent candidate.

‘Qwasi I wish to state for the records that this poster is absolutely false. It is a Luciferian conspiracy hatched obviously by Andy Appiah Kubi and some unscrupulous persons aligned to him  to put my hard earned political reputation into mud and I will not sit down aloof for such evil act to go on’ .

However, Lawyer Andy Kwame Appiah Kubi in a quick response to the allegations being leveled against him, said he is unaware of such poster neither has he planned to malign the image of his successor (Kwadwo Baah Agyemang)

‘I was at the constituency over the weekend to pay courtesy to the BECE candidates and I saw Kwadwo Baah and his cohorts jogging with T-shirts labelled “Sankofa” with the intention of distracting the party program the same day, this is what I know’

‘I must say empathic that the only poster that I’m aware of is that of me and the President Nana Addo,I don’t know of any other poster and I don’t want to waste much time to talk about this because the main focus is about how to maximize the votes of the President and I as the parliamentary candidate ‘ he stressed

When asked if he would extend hands to Kwadwo Baah Agyemang to join the constituency campaign, Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi told show host Oderfour Qwasi Kay that, though Kwadwo Baah is not his friend but he has called upon him (Kwadwo Baah) to join the campaign but the later has refused to join the team.
